DiscoverEugene is Eugene Oregon’s newest and fastest growing local magazine. Locally owned and operated, the goal and focus of DiscoverEugene is to become the go-to source for all things Eugene.

With local articles, a calendar of events, things to do, restaurant and business directories and much more, DiscoverEugene covers the most popularly sought information for the greater Eugene area and delivers it online, in print via rack and direct mail (starting in 2010), on mobile devices and – for subscribed individuals – in personal email inboxes (in development now).

Initially starting as a city directory with a calendar and some informational articles in early 2009, DiscoverEugene evolved into a local online magazine and resource guide within a few months, and started seeing hefty double digit visitors each day – before the website was even finished. We’ve not looked back since.

Undergoing a major overhaul in late 2009 in response to reader input, DiscoverEugene continues to grow as a magazine and as a 21st century business. No other magazine offers as many delivery formats in Eugene as DiscoverEugene. Nor does any local publication offer a higher readership potential in Lane County than we do.  With DiscoverEugene a reader can get his or her desired content via website, mobile, print, printable pdf, email and rss deliveries.

With our small, talented and varied staff, DiscoverEugene is a definitively grassroots and debt-free company with low overhead and small carbon footprint. We utilize mostly digital communications in the production of our magazine, and use recycled paper with earth-friendly heat-set inks for our print edition.  As we grow, our commitment to our readers and the world in which we live will continue. If we can’t do it wisely – meaning providing quality content while maintaining low cost and low impact – we won’t do it.

We encourage you to join us, sharing your thoughts and feedback, as we seek to give back to our fellow Eugeneans the quality information you desire, whether it be a look at what is going on in Eugene this weekend, or where it is you can find your favorite Indian food, or where you can read a firsthand account of floating the Willamette River, or perhaps even obtain a parent’s guide for selecting the best local school for your children.
