Lark Park

Surrounded by quiet residential homes, where the near-by streets are under going an up-grade, lies a quiet park, Lark Park. A wide open area in lush green grass provides plenty of space for a picnic, a place to study under one of the shade trees around the edges, or a spot to spread down that towel and start on the summer tan.

Parking for Lark Park is available around the edges of the park in the form of street parking. The park is fairly easy to find, especially if you know the neighborhood. Located on the corner of Coraly Avenue and Duke Snider Avenue (called Bobby Doerr Way on Google Maps), which is more like a bend in the road, Coraly winds its way through the neighborhood. The easiest way to get to Coraly Avenue is to take Roosevelt Boulevard to Maple Street, then take a left on Coraly Avenue.

The park consists of the open grass area, a nice playground set, a swing set with a regular swing and an infant swing, a spring loaded horse for the kids to ride on and a nice basketball court with two hoops. The playground set includes three slides: a straight slide, wavy slide and a curvy slide.

Two picnic tables are situated near the playground, with a convenient BBQ grill built in in-between them. A couple more benches are located near the basketball court so all your child’s friends can watch and cheer on their favorite team.  A water fountain is available to make sure no one leaves the playground dehydrated.  There are no bathrooms, which doesn’t seem to bother most of the visitors to the playground, since most of them live in a near by house.  This playground is sure to provide hours of enjoyable fun for children, teen agers, and adults alike who take the time to get out of the house and have some fun.
